When Elle and Liza, polar opposites, are assigned as science partners they discover their shared passion for all-things-nature and, with the help of the R. B. Darben, by day––a school custodian of Braden Collier Elementary––by night he appears to be anyone but the clean up man! R. B. helps the girls form and build their Nature Club, in the century-old oak tree on Crater Hill.

When asked, the girls would share that building their nature club was easy but keeping the boys out was impossible.

The boys agreed on one thing: being rejected by girls was worse than having your mom show up at school conferences––still wearing her pajamas! The boys take revenge by planning to unveil the rumors going around at school. A dual question spy mission to be exact. Rumor has it when R. B. Jr., the janitors son doesn't return for work on Monday, after helping the girls build their treehouse, they suspect he's hiding out at the clubhouse, but why?

When tragedy strikes, the boys Operation Nature Club spy night, comes to an owl-screeching halt. Can the girls convince their rivals to keep their secret for just a little longer, if they'll bend their rules and let them join their Nature Club?
