Plain As Sand is a collection of poems filled with every emotion; and anyone can relate to them. There are poems about death, and poems about the power of women. This varied collection of poems is just the reason why anyone - young and old- can relate to the emotion brought out through these poems.
This was a very enjoyable read. These poems have brought me back to my love of poetry. Poems don't have to rhyme. And they don't need to make you cry. Poems are simply made for fun, and they should be read aloud. From the secrecy of "My Secret" to the anxiousness of "Care For Me," I simply could not believe how I could have stopped enjoying poetry. This book, to me, is a reminder that poems are supposed to be fun!
